Cuban ambassador meets with members of the Communist Party of Australia

Canberra, 6 March 2024. The Cuban ambassador to Australia, Tanieris Diéguez, met with members of the Communist Party of Australia at the headquarters of the Cuban embassy.

The meeting was conducive to exchange on issues of common interest.

The ambassador took the opportunity to update those present on the negative impact of the U.S. blockade on Cuba in recent months.

Cuban Ambassador meets with High Commissioner of Vanuatu 

Canberra, February 28, 2024. The Cuban Ambassador to Australia met this morning with the High Commissioner of Vanuatu in this capital. During the meeting, which took place at the Cuban Embassy, the diplomats exchanged on the good state of bilateral relations, as well as the potential for developing cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the areas of health, education and environment and other issues of mutual interest. 

 

Cuban Ambassador participates in Tribute to Joan Coxsedge

Melbourne, February 24, 2024. The Ambassador of Cuba to the Commonwealth of Australia, participated today in the posthumous tribute paid to Joan Coxsedge, an outstanding activist of solidarity with Cuba who died recently in that Australian city. 

During the event, the outstanding trajectory of Joan, who was for several years President of the ACFS in Victoria and who maintained a close relationship with the Cuban people, was remembered.

Cuban Flag Raising Ceremony in Canberra's Latin American Plaza

Canberra, 21 February 2024. The Cuban flag raising ceremony was held today at the Latin American Plaza in Canberra, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the 35th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between Cuba and Australia.
