Cuban Ambassador meets with Ambassador Elizabeth Ward
Canberra, June 13, 2024. The Cuban Ambassador was received at the Australian Foreign Ministry by Elizabeth Ward, Ambassador for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and Latin America.

During the meeting, the diplomats discussed the possibilities for the development of relations between the two countries, within the framework of the 35th anniversary of bilateral relations.
Ambassador and Consul of Cuba exchanged with CEO of MedAdvance
Canberra, June 8, 2024. The Cuban Ambassador to Australia held a meeting with Yordana Goya, Cuban resident in the city of Brisbane and CEO of MedAvance Company.
During the meeting they exchanged on the possibilities of strengthening cooperation ties in the health and biotechnology sector between Cuba and Australia as well as the integration of the resident community in Australia and its links with the Cuban nation.
New edition of the "Afrekete" Festival takes place in Magnetic Island.
Brisbane, Magnetic Island, 6-9 June 2024. Hosted by the Brisbane Multicultural Arts Centre (BEMAC), the Afrekete cultural festival was presented today on Magnetic Island.
The presentation, performed by quabnos resident in Australia, explores the advent of the formation of the Cuban-Australian identity that has grown over time in different generations.

Cuban Ambassador meets with Australian Member of Parliament Rebekha Sharkie
Canberra, 3 June, 2024. The Cuban Ambassador to Australia was received today by Rebekha Sharkie, Member of the Australian Parliament for Mayo, SA. During the friendly meeting, the diplomat thanked for the support to the Motion introduced in the Australian Parliament against the Blockade, as well as discussed matters of common interest in the parliamentary field and bilateral relations between Cuba and Australia.
