Canberra, 9 February 2024. The Cuban resident in Australia, Adrian Medina, exchanged with Ambassador Tanieris Diéguez and the Third Secretary in charge of Consular Affairs, Ivianes González.
The meeting took place at the Cuban Embassy in Australia as part of the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Cuban Baseball Federation and the New South Wales Baseball League.
Cuban Ambassador to Australia pays official visit to Governor of New South Wales
Sydney, 7 February 2024. The Cuban Ambassador to the Commonwealth of Australia paid an official visit to the Governor of New South Wales, H.E Margaret Beazley AC KC.
During the meeting, the diplomat thanked for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings on behalf of the Cuban authorities.
During the meeting, they were able to discuss the celebration of the 35th Anniversary of Bilateral Relations between Cuba and Australia and the history and culture of both countries.
Cuban Ambassador to Australia receives representatives of the small island states of the Pacific.
Canberra, 1 February 2024. At the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in this capital, the representative of Cuba, exchanged with several Ambassadors of the small island states of the Pacific accredited to the Commonwealth of Australia.
During the friendly exchange, they were able to discuss the potential for the development of South-South and triangular cooperation, as well as the different challenges currently faced in the areas of climate change, health and sustainable development.
35th Anniversary of the establishment of Cuba-Australia relations
Canberra, 31 January 2024. Diplomatic relations between Cuba and Australia were established on 31 January 1989 so, today they reach their 35th anniversary.
Cooperation ties between both countries have been strengthened over the years.
They have exchanged and advanced not only in diplomatic matters, but also in the education, health, sports, biotechnology, tourism, mining and oil areas.
