Chargé d'Affaires a.i. participates in Flag Raising Ceremony on Peru's National Day
Canberra, 31 July, 2023. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy to the Commonwealth of Australia, Ivianes Gonzalez, participated in the Flag Raising Ceremony on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Peru celebration.
The ceremony, held at the Latin American Plaza, was led by the Peruvian Ambassador to Australia. It was attended by the Head of Protocol of the Foreign Ministry, and members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Canberra.
Chargé d'Affaires a.i. participates in Peru's National Day Celebration
Canberra, 31 July, 2023. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy to the Commonwealth of Australia, Ivianes Gonzalez, participated in the reception hosted by the Embassy of Peru on the occasion of the celebration of the 202nd anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Peru and the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Peru and Australia.
The diplomat congratulated the Peruvian ambassador and members of his embassy; in addition to reaffirming the bilateral relations between Cuba and Peru.
Chargé d'Affaires a.i. participates in celebration for the International Friendship Day in the Australian Parliament
Canberra, 31 July, 2023. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy to the Commonwealth of Australia, Ivianes Gonzalez, participated in the celebration for the International Day of Friendship held in the Australian Parliament.
The event was attended by a large representation of parliamentarians, as well as members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Canberra.
The occasion was used to bid farewell to the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, H.E. Ali Kraishan, Ambassador for Jordan to Australia.
Ambassador of Cuba meets with representatives of the MUA in Victoria
Melbourne, July 31, 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba visited the Headquarters of the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) in Victoria. During this visit, the diplomat held a meeting with representatives of such an organization and took the opportunity to thank the support of the Australian trade union organization for the Cuban Revolution and its active participation in the Solidarity movement with Cuba.
ACFS issues resolutions in favor of Cuba as closing of its National Consultation
Melbourne, 30 July, 2023. The Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS) issued a document as the closing of the National Consultation that includes a series of resolutions in favor of Cuba.
The unanimous condemnation of the blockade imposed by the United States on the island and the immoral inclusion in the List of State Sponsors of Terrorism highlight among the points of the document .
