Cuban Ambassador participates in Colloquium on Latin America and the Caribbean at the University of Queensland
Canberra, October 4, 2022.- The Cuban Ambassador to Australia, Ariel Lorenzo Rodríguez, participated in the annual Colloquium on Latin America and the Caribbean held at the University of Queensland which its main theme was "Priorities for science diplomacy: ways to strengthen cooperation between Australia and Latin America towards 2030".
Cuba Image promoted in Spanish language activity at Canberra school
Canberra, September 19, 2022 - Last Friday, September 16, Spanish Language Day was celebrated at Radford College, one of Canberra's primary schools.
The activity, which was attended by representatives of the diplomatic missions of Latin America accredited in Canberra, was the perfect setting for each country to show its culture.
The Cuban embassy, represented by Liuba Montano Rubio and Ivianes D. González Llanes, First and Third Secretaries, respectively, had the opportunity to take the fifth graders through a theoretical and practical class of Cuban rhythms.
Australian project linked to the William Soler Children's Hospital receives ICAP's 60th anniversary medal
Canberra, September 19, 2022.- The Cuban Children´s Hospital Fund, an Australian project linked to the William Soler Pediatric Cardiocenter, received the ICAP 60th anniversary commemorative medal, in recognition of its outstanding work of solidarity with the Cuban children.
Cuban film ¨Innocence¨ was presented in Australia
Canberra, August 15, 2022 - The 17th edition of the Latin American Film Festival of Australia presented the Cuban film "Innocence", by director Alejandro Gil, which was very well received by the audience who were able to delve into the tragic events that shook Havana on November 27, 1871.
Film ¨Innocence¨ will represent Cuba at the Latin American Film Festival of Australia
Canberra, 7 August, 2022.- The Embassy of Cuba was present at the inaugural activity of the 17th edition of the Latin American Film Festival (LAFF) of Australia, which will be held from August 4 to 31 in Canberra.
The Festival is an initiative of the 15 Latin American and Caribbean Embassies accredited in Australia to show their culture and film industry, where they join forces to bring the largest festival of its kind to cities across the country.
Cuba will be represented at the Festival with the award-winning film ¨Innocence¨, by filmmaker Alejandro Gil.
