Cuba reaffirms its commitment to the fight against fascism on the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Mauthausen

Upper Austria, May 10. – Cuba participated this Sunday in the main commemoration of the 81st anniversary of the liberation of the Mauthausen concentration camp, one of the greatest symbols of Nazi horror during World War II. The annual event, which brought together dozens of international delegations and Austrian political forces, also served as a platform to denounce the U.S. blockade and reaffirm solidarity with the island.

Vienna, May 9 – Solidarity with Cuba took to the streets of the Austrian capital once again this Saturday, when members of the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association (ÖKG) organized an intensive day of outreach, recruitment of new members, and fundraising on the iconic Mariahilferstraße, one of Vienna’s busiest commercial and pedestrian thoroughfares.
