Armed attack against a patrol vessel of the Border Guard Troops of the Ministry of the Interior
On the morning of February 25, 2026, a violating speedboat was detected within Cuban territorial waters. The vessel, registered in Florida, United States, with registration number FL7726SH, approached up to 1 nautical mile northeast of the El Pino channel, in Cayo Falcones, Corralillo municipality, Villa Clara province.
UNIDO Director-General calls for solidarity with Cuba

Croatian magazine “Epoha” publishes article calling for solidarity with Cuba
Zagreb, February 25. The Croatian magazine Epoha recently published an opinion piece by Professor Silva Knežević in which she makes a strong call for international solidarity with the Cuban people and questions the silence of certain media outlets in the face of the difficulties facing the island.
Solidarity with Cuba in Austria made a donation to the William Soler Pediatric Cardiology Center Energy Project.
Vienna, February 24. The Austria-Cuba Friendship Association (ÖKG) made a donation of ten thousand euros to the MediCuba-Europa project, which will contribute to the installation of photovoltaic panels at the Cardiocentro of the William Soler Pediatric Hospital in Havana.
