Vienna. October 9. Cuba reaffirmed its commitment to preventing and combating the smuggling of migrants at the meetings of the Working Group on the Smuggling of Migrants, held on October 9 and 10 at the Vienna International Center.
Lieutenant Colonel Abel Martínez Grandio, head of the Technical Investigation Department and member of the Cuban delegation, emphasized that Cuba promotes legal, orderly, and safe emigration as a State Party to the Palermo Convention and the Protocol against the Smuggling of Migrants by Land, Sea, and Air.

Before talking about the big political connections, I want to tell you a very personal story: the story of my first encounter with Che Guevara and my recent trip following in his footsteps through Latin America.
Vienna pays tribute to Che in an act of solidarity and revolutionary remembrance
Vienna, October 8. The Cuban Embassy in Austria, together with the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association (ÖKG), the Communist Youth of Austria (KJÖ), and members of the diplomatic corps, commemorated today the 58th anniversary of Ernesto Che Guevara's death in combat.
The emotional ceremony, held at the Paseo de los Próceres Latinoamericanos in the Danube Park, stood out for its call for unity and the continued relevance of Guevara's example in times of global challenges.
