Vienna, January 21. As part of its commitment to multilateral discussions on the global drug problem, a delegation from the Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations Office in Vienna and International Organizations based in Austria participated in the Third Meeting of the Open-ended Intergovernmental Group of Experts on “Improving and strengthening international and regional cooperation and national efforts to address the global problem of synthetic drugs,” held on January 20 and 21, 2026, in Vienna.
Cuban film to be screened at Ibero-American Film Nights in Vienna
Vienna, January 20. The Cuban film El Benny, directed by Jorge Luis Sánchez, will be part of the program for the Ibero-American Film Nights in Vienna, organized by the Cervantes Institute of Austria. It will be screened on March 10 at 7:00 p.m., as part of the festival that will take place from March 9 to 13 in the capital.

Vienna, January 13. The Cuban Ambassador to the Republic of Austria, Pablo Berti Oliva, signed the book of condolences opened at the headquarters of the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Vienna, to pay tribute to those who died during the vile US military aggression on January 3, which also led to the kidnapping of the constitutional president, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and his wife.
