Vienna, July 14.- The Communist Youth of Austria (Kommunistische Jugend Österreichs, KJÖ) issued a statement condemning the recent presidential memorandum of the Donald Trump administration, released on June 30, 2025, which strengthens the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba. The document, a reissue of National Security Presidential Memorandum No. 5 issued in 2017, represents a new attempt to suffocate the island and undermine its sovereignty.
Austrian youth will participate in the 52nd European Brigade of Solidarity with Cuba “José Martí”.
Vienna, July 14 - A group of 11 young Austrians, committed to internationalist solidarity, will participate in the 52nd edition of the European Brigade of Voluntary Work and Solidarity with Cuba “José Martí”, organized by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) in coordination with the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association (ÖKG).

The Croatian Socialist Workers Party (PSR) strongly condemns the measures recently announced by the United States of America (USA) to further tighten economic, financial and trade sanctions against the Republic of Cuba. These sanctions, which represent a direct continuation of the inhumane blockade that has lasted for more than six decades, confirm the imperialist and aggressive character of U.S. foreign policy towards sovereign peoples and nations that independently decide their own path of development.
