Opening in Slovenia of a retrospective of Cuban cinema celebrating the 60th anniversary of the ICAIC
Ljubljana, 14 November 2019. In the presence of the renowned filmmaker and scriptwriter, Arturo Sotto, the Retrospective of Cuban Cinema was inaugurated in homage to the 60th anniversary of the ICAIC (by its Spanish initials), in the framework of the Ljubljana International Film Festival.
The Director General of the OPEC Fund arrives today in Cuba
The Director General of the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa, will visit Cuba from November 12 to 17, 2019. Dr. Alkhalifa will hold meetings with high level Cuban authorities; as well he will participate in the celebrations for Havana's 500th anniversary, and he plans to sign the fifteenth cooperation agreement between Cuba and OFID, which will benefit the project: “West Havana Sanitation and Pluvial Drainage”.
Public demonstration in Vienna demands the end of the U.S. blockade against Cuba
Vienna, 6 November 2019. The Square of the United Nations, in front of the headquarters of this International Organization in Vienna, was the scenario of an extensive popular gathering, which demanded the end of the blockade that the United States has been imposing for almost 60 years against Cuba.
The Day of the Cuban Culture was celebrated in Vienna with the performance of El Niño y La Verdad musical band
The Day of the Cuban Culture was celebrated in the Austrian capital, in a concert of the popular band: El Niño y la Verdad, at Danzón night club in the presence of an extensive audience, including Cubans living in this country, fans of Cuban music and the Cuban Embassy in Austria.
At the concert, the audience praised the professionalism and versatility of the group, which played a varied repertoire of traditional Cuban genres such as rumba, son, guaracha and trova. It was an excellent representation to celebrate the Day of the Cuban Culture.
The Ambassador of Cuba holds meetings with high authorities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia

Mr. Matej Marn received today the Ambassador of Cuba to that European country, H.E. Mr. Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios in the headquarters of the Ministry.
