Cuba Submits Its Third National Report to the Convention on Nuclear Safety
Vienna, April 17. As part of the Tenth Review Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Convention on Nuclear Safety, held at the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from April 13 to 24, 2026, Cuba presented its Third National Report, in strict compliance with its international commitments regarding nuclear safety.
Slovenia Welcomes the Cuban Ambassador
Vienna, March 30.—Pablo Berti Oliva, Cuba’s Ambassador to Slovenia (resident in Austria), paid a working visit to several Slovenian cities as part of the “Latin America and the Caribbean Days” event organized by the Slovenian Ministry of European and International Affairs on March 26 and 27.
An Evening of Cuban and Brazilian Jazz in the Heart of Vienna
Vienna, March 24. The performance by Cuban musician José Portillo (@portillo_y_cauce) and the Brazilian trio Glauco Sölter (@glaucosolter) captivated the Viennese audience with an unusual blend of pure Cuban and Brazilian jazz.
The concert, which included pieces by the Trio and the Cuban pianist, such as “El que fue a Mantilla,” was based on a surprising blend of Cuban and Brazilian melodies and rhythms, featuring high virtuosity and improvisation.
Cuban cinema takes center stage in Slovenia
Vienna, March 24. Cuban cinema took center stage in Ljubljana with the screening of the Cuban film “Buscando a Casal,” as part of the celebrations for World Poetry Day and the 67th anniversary of the founding of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC).
