Solidarity with Cuba took to the streets of Vienna to demand an end to the blockade
Vienna, March 21. A demonstration of hundreds of people in support of Cuba took place today in the Austrian capital. Organized by the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association (ÖKG @oekg.ooe) and various political groups, the demonstrators marched along Vienna’s main avenues with the aim of promoting solidarity with the island and demanding an immediate end to the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States.
State Parliament Member and Vienna City Councilor Visits the Cuban Embassy in Austria

Cuba’s Ambassador to Austria, Pablo Berti Oliva, welcomed Ms. Sara do A.T. da Costa, a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Councilor for the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ), to the diplomatic mission’s headquarters for a cordial meeting that provided an opportunity to discuss issues of bilateral interest and strengthen ties with that political party.
Cuba deposits the instrument of extension of the ARCAL Agreement

At the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Republic of Cuba deposited the instrument of extension of the Agreement on Cooperation for the Promotion of Nuclear Science and Technology in Latin America and the Caribbean (ARCAL). The formal ceremony was led by the Cuban Ambassador, Pablo Berti Oliva, and by the Director of the Latin America Division of the IAEA’s Department of Technical Cooperation, Luis Longoria Gandara.

10,000 euros worth of medicines donated to Cuba from Austria
Vienna, March 19. The Communist Party of Austria in Styria (KPÖ Steiermark) and the Communist Youth of Austria (@kommunistischejugend) made a donation of medicines worth 10,000 euros, which are already in Cuba as part of the Convoy Nuestra América, an international initiative that will converge in Havana on March 21 to deliver material aid to the Cuban people.
