Nassau, May 3, 2022. The Cuban Ambassador to the Bahamas, Julio César González Marchante, held a cordial meeting with the National Director of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Marcelo Staylor, who positively valued the performance of the dozens of Cuban collaborators who work at different levels of education and specialties, including special education.

Many thanks, I’m grateful to you all for being here. I have to report that Washington has decided to exclude the Republic of Cuba from the preparations for the 9th Summit of the Americas to be held in Los Angeles on 8th to 10th June and is presently exerting extreme pressures on numerous governments in the region which, privately and respectfully, oppose our exclusion.

International brigades to attend May Day parade in Cuba

Havana, April 23, 2022.- International brigades of solidarity and volunteer work will parade alongside Cubans on International Workers' Day, it was announced here.

The groups are the First of May and Ernesto Che Guevara brigades, whose members will be present at Havana’s Revolution Square, where a mass parade will take place, the first such events after more than two years fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
