We have been following with great concern the swift evolution of events in the Syrian Arab Republic, which has led to the overthrowing of the government of Bashar Al Assad by opposition armed groups.

We strongly call for the preservation of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Syria as well as respect for the integrity and security of diplomatic missions based in that Arab nation.

Cuba and Bahamas celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations

The healthy relationship that our countries enjoy after five decades of diplomatic ties has been possible due to mutual respect for sovereignty, self-determination and non-interference in internal affairs, as well as the collaboration developed for the benefit of our peoples and governments.

Cuba participates in the Special Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends in Defense of the United Nations Charter on the grave situation in Palestine

Havana, November 25, 2024.- The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, represented Cuba at the Extraordinary Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations, held today in virtual format.  

At the meeting, the Palestinian delegation updated the 19 members of the Group of Friends on the catastrophic situation caused by Israel's genocide in the occupied territories.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the continued air strikes perpetrated by Israeli government forces against residential areas in Beirut and Damascus, in flagrant violation of International Law, even International Humanitarian Law.
