Letter in New York Times demands reversal of brutal policy on Cuba
Washington, October 22, 2024.- A letter published today in The New York Times demands that the President of the United States, Joe Biden, reverses in his last 90 days in office the brutal policy of his predecessor, Donald Trump, towards Cuba.
Cuba is simultaneously experiencing a serious energy crisis and the recent impact of Hurricane Oscar, warned the letter, promoted by the organization The People’s Forum in its call to Biden.
Bahamian Health Minister receives Cuban Ambassador
Nassau, October 22, 2024. The Bahamian health minister Dr. Michael Darville and the Cuban ambassador to this country Julio César González Marchante held a working meeting to assess the current collaboration both nations are developing.
During the friendly meeting, they highlighted the positive results of the present cooperation for both parties and the intention to expand it into new areas of interest for the respective peoples.
Cuban Culture Day celebrated in Nassau
Nassau, October 17, 2024. The festival entitled “On the paths of Cubanness” took place today in Nassau, convened by the Department of Foreign Languages of the University of The Bahamas at the RBC Auditorium.
During the program, a panel was held on moments of Cuban history, literature and cultural traditions, while a sample of the island's tourist attractions was exhibited, presented by the Havanatur office in the Bahamas.
