The Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto participated in an activity organized by the Toronto Forum on Cuba solidarity group to commemorate the beginning of our wars of independence. Several solidarity groups, members of the Palestinian Youth Movement and the Marxist-Leninist Communist Party of Canada participated.
Within the framework of the activity, messages in support of the Cuban Revolution were issued, demanding the lifting of the US blockade against our people and in solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

In a cordial atmosphere, both figures exchanged on the good state of bilateral relations, which will reach their 80th anniversary in 2025. The occasion was also propitious to address the existing potentialities to promote bilateral ties, especially in economic and commercial matters and between the Parliaments of both countries.

The Consul General of Cuba in Toronto, Jorge Yanier Castellanos Orta, held a working meeting with Veronica Panton, the new Chief of Protocol and Director of International Relations of the province of Ontario, at the headquarters of the provincial government.
During the meeting, the will of both parties was reaffirmed to advance in projects of mutual interest, identify potential areas and sectors that allow a greater rapprochement between the province and our country, and promote spaces and initiatives to support the Cuban community settled in this area.

Within this framework, he held meetings with high authorities of the Government of Canada, the Department of Global Affairs (GAC) and with Senators and Deputies of the Canadian Parliament.

Following several investigations into alleged health incidents and symptoms reported by Government of Canada officials, Global Affairs Canada (GAC) informed that the Interdepartmental Task Force determined that there is no evidence to attribute the symptoms experienced by Canadian-based staff members and their dependents in Havana, Cuba, to a foreign agent or foreign agents.
