Meeting with members of the Marxist-Leninist Communist Party of Canada

At the headquarters of the Marxist-Leninist Communist Party of Canada in the city of Toronto, representatives of that organization held a meeting with members of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Canada.

The meeting was attended by Philip Fernandez, representative of the Party in the city of Toronto, and by the Deputy Head of Mission, Dany Tur, and the Consul General in Toronto, Jorge Yanier Castellanos, on the Cuban side. 

Solidarity with Cuba ratified in Niagara

The Canadian Cuban Friendship Association of Niagara (CCFA-Niagara) held a meeting with members of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Canada.

The meeting was attended by David Thomas, leader of the Canadian organization and on the Cuban side by the Deputy Head of Mission, Dany Tur; the Consul General of Cuba in Toronto, Jorge Yanier Castellanos and other Cuban officials.

Meeting with members of the solidarity in New Brunswick

The Consul General of Cuba in Montreal, Susana Malmierca received a warm welcome during a meeting with members of the Communist Party of Canada and other friends of Cuba in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

At the meeting, there was an exchange of views on the main advances in legislative matters in Cuba, as well as in the health sector. The criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States and the inclusion of the island in the arbitrary list of state sponsors of terrorism were condemned.

Developing academic ties with the University of New Brunswick

The Consul General of Cuba in Montreal, Susana Malmierca, visited the University of New Brunswick (UNB), the oldest English-speaking university in Canada, founded in 1785. With more than 230 years of experience, this center has 14 faculties and more than 10 thousand students. 

Visit to St. Thomas University

The Consul General of Cuba in Montreal, Susana Malmierca visited the University of St. Thomas in Fredericton, New Brunswick, an institution with more than 100 years of experience, which welcomes morethan 1800 students. 

She held a cordial meeting with several professors of that center and with a professor of Cuban origin, member of the Languages Department, who actively participates in projects with the University of Holguin.
