The delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education that is visiting Canada, composed of the Director General of Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies, Ondina León Díaz, PhD, and Maiky Díaz Pérez, PhD, Head of the Multilateral Affairs Department, was invited to visit the Quebec Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management, which belongs to the Ministry of Higher Education, being accompanied by the Consul General in Montreal, Susana Malmierca Benítez.

The visit program of the Director General of Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies, Ondina León Díaz, PhD, to Quebec, Canada, included a meeting at the Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie, with the Director of International Mobility, Alain Olivier, who was accompanied via online by Arielle Hudon of the same Department and byVeronique Leclerc, Head of the Antilles and Central America Directorate at the Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie.

The delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba, composed of the Director General of Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies, Ondina León Díaz, PhD, visited the University of Quebec in Montreal, where it met with the Vice-Rector of Research, Christian Agbobli, and seven professors of UQAM.
Canadian trade union adopts resolution against the US blockade on Cuba.
In the city of Gatineau, the Central Council of National Trade Unions of the Outaouais-CSN presented the resolution entitled "Cuba YES, blockade NO" before the Confederal Council of the Confederation of National Trade Unions, CSN.
This resolution was unanimously adopted by the more than 300 delegates present in a plenary session, where the negative impact of the US policy against our Island was denounced. This initiative is part of the TUCA-CSA (Trade Union Confederation of the Americas) campaign in support of Cuba.

Distinguished delegates;
I bring from Cuba a message of solidarity and support for the Palestinian people. The indiscriminate attacks against the civil population and the United Nations workers; the bombings against hospitals, ambulances and schools and the mass destruction of housing and vital infrastructure are a collective punishment as well as a serious violation of International Humanitarian Law.
We stand in solidarity with all victims and share the grief of the Arab and Hebrew communities in Cuba.
