Conference of the Consul General of Cuba in Montreal on the Cuban reality

Ottawa, April 7, 2024. With the participation of more than 60 people, a Conference was held in Montreal, given by Susana Malmierca Beníez, Consul General of Cuba in Montreal.

The Conference provided an update on the Cuban reality and the main changes that have taken place on the island. The occasion contributed to condemn the unjust economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, the main obstacle to the integral development of the Cuban people and its institutions.

Children's party in Ottawa celebrating April 4th.

Ottawa, April 6. -With the participation of children of Cuban residents, members of the Association of Cuban Residents in Ottawa-Gatineau, relatives of supportive friends and the Cuban Embassy in Canada, the "Cuban Children's Party" was held in Ottawa to celebrate April 4th.
 
In a festive atmosphere and with the joy that characterizes children, there were games of participation and knowledge, which highlighted the patriotic values.
 

Visit to the city of Saint-Constant

The Consul General of Cuba in Montreal, Susana Malmierca paid a visit to the Mayor's Office of the city of Saint-Constant, accompanied by the Councilor for Tourism, Michel Bernal.

During a pleasant meeting with Mayor Jean-Claude Boyer, Councilor Natalia Zuluaga and other officials, they exchanged on future events in the city that enhance the culture of various nations, including Cuban culture.

Celebration of Palestinian Land Day in Toronto

The Palestinian House in Toronto held an activity to commemorate the 48th anniversary of Palestinian Land Day, with the participation of the Consulate General of Cuba in that city.

The event was attended by members of the federal parliament of Canada and the province of Ontario, along with representatives of the consular corps accredited in Toronto and members of the Palestinian community.

54th Anniversary Celebration of the Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist) in Toronto

The Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist) celebrated the 54th anniversary of its founding, at its headquarters in the city of Toronto.

The central words were in charge of Anna Di Carlo, leader of the Party, who made a balance of the work carried out during more than 50 years and defined the challenges for the present and future of this organization. Emotional messages of solidarity with Palestine and rejection of the hegemonic and imperialist practices of the U.S. government, especially its blockade and destabilizing strategy against Cuba, were also conveyed.
