Celebration of the 63rd Anniversary of the CDRs in Montreal
A lively activity was held at the Consulate General of Cuba in Montreal to commemorate the 63rd Anniversary of the CDRs.
The occasion contributed to highlighting our festive traditions and to interacting with members of the Cuban community living in Montreal and the staff of the Consulate General of Cuba in Montreal. It was a moment of shared joy, in which children played a leading role painting the Cuban royal palm and playing with the typical piñata.

Ambassador Hector Igarza held a pleasant meeting with members of the Canada-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, led by the Honourable Senator Nancy J. Hartling and the Member of Parliament, Gabriel Ste-Marie, both co-chairs of the Parliamentary Group. The Cuban side was also represented by the Deputy Head of Mission, Dany Tur; the Economic and Commercial Counselor, Isaylin Cabañas, and the Press and Cultural Attaché, Aileén Carmenaty.

Cuba present at Palestinian Festival
Members of the Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto participated in a celebration of Palestinian cultural heritage and culinary traditions. Consul Sabdiel Lafargue thanked the participants for the invitation and conveyed a message of greetings on behalf of the Cuban Consulate.
The president of the Palestine House and the rest of the Palestinian community thanked Cuba for its attendance and acknowledged the solidarity of the Cuban people with the Palestinian cause.
Consulate General in Toronto participates in the raising of the Mexican and Chilean flags.
On September 16 and 18, the Consul General of Cuba, Jorge Yanier Castellanos, participated in the hoisting of the flags of Mexico and Chile, respectively, held at the Legislative Building of Ontario.
Both events were attended by personalities of the government of Ontario, the consular corps accredited in Toronto, and the communities of both countries.
The Cuban diplomat took the opportunity to congratulate both consuls general on their National Days.
