Indian unions reiterate solidarity with Cuba and denounce blockade

New Delhi, July 26 (Prensa Latina) Several Indian unions reiterated their support for the Cuban Revolution today while condemning the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on the Caribbean island by the United States for more than 50 years.

Representatives of various guilds visited the Cuban embassy on the occasion of National Rebellion Day, which every July 26 celebrates the anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes garrisons in 1953, an action that reinitiated the struggle process in the Largest of the Antilles.

Marileydis Dueñas Morales, Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy in India greeted and exchanged briefly with the ministers of state of Foreign Affairs of India, General  (Rtd). V. K. Singh and later with M. J. Akbar to thank India's traditional support to  the Cuban Resolution against the Blockade.

Friends of Latin America in India began activities in the city of Calcutta to celebrate the Day of the National Rebellion of Cuba.

Calcutta, India July 21, 2017. Friends of Latin America in India opened a Cuban Film Festival in the city of Calcutta to kick off activities on Cuba's National Rebellion Day.

In the framework of the celebrations for the 64th anniversary of July 26th, audiovisual projection and photos about Fidel Castro Ruz and the Cuban Revolution are also planned. (EMBACUBA INDIA)

 

Cuba was present at the Parliamentary Awards 2017 that honored India`s best Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members for their achievements.

New Delhi, July 19, 2017. The Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy in India, Mrs. Marileydis Dueñas Morales, participated in the activity carried out this day at Vigyan Bhavan Plenary Hall, where prizes were awarded to the 8 best Leaders, key policy makers and change makers of India in 2016 for their outstanding work, in the presence of the Vice-President of India, Shri M. Hamid Ansari as Chief Guest along with 12 other personalities from the Government and the Parliament of this country.

Important Notice

From this Friday July 21 to August 2, 2017 the consular services will be suspended.


These services will be gradually restored as of August 3 of this year.


It is because next week there are cuban national holidays in and also some adjustments need to be made in the Consular System, as the consular functions will be performed by a New Consular Officer because the current Consular Officer ends his Diplomatic Mission in India.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Office of Design are launching the #NoMásBloqueo poster contest

In all their various expressions, the posters should reflect the claim being made by Cuba and the international community for the end of the blockade which continues to be enforced by the United States and hurts the Cuban people. Designers, artists and students from Cuba and other countries may apply. The posters can be made by one individual or a group of up to 5 persons and more than one poster per participant may be submitted.

Cuba participates in the commemoration of Venezuela's National Day in Tehran

The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Tehran called to commemorate the 206th anniversary of the signing of the independence of this Latin-American nation by placing a wreath in front of the statue of the Liberator Simón Bolívar that is raised in the capital park of Goftegú. The ceremony was headed by the Venezuelan Ambassador, Jesus Gregorio González González, and Ambassador Vladimir González Quesada and Third Secretary Junior Peñalver Quevedo participated on behalf of the Embassy of Cuba.
