Ambassador Signs Book of Condolences for Death of Former Philippine Foreign Minister

On behalf of the Cuban government and Cuban people, Ambassador Pedro Pablo San Jorge signed the Book of Condolences opened at the Embassy of the Philippines in Bangkok, for the death of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, Albert F. Del Rosario.

The Ambassador was received by the Philippine Ambassador in Thailand, Mrs. Millicent Cruz Paredes, who thanked the gesture and highlighted the friendly relations between Cuba and the Philippines.

President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics received Cuban Ambassador

Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) and Chairman of the Central Theory Council, on April 21 received Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén. At the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation contents between the HCMA and Cuban partners in the coming time, and agreed to strengthen cooperation in the training of cadres, especially those are or will hold leading positions at the strategic level.

FITCUBA 2023: Culture and Heritage

The International Tourism Fair is the most significant professional event that the Cuban tourism industry develops every year.

The event website highlights that this year FitCuba 2023 will be held from the 1st. to May 5 in Havana, a city that holds the status of Wonder City of the modern world title granted in 2016 by the Swiss foundation New7Wonders.

Its Urban Historic Center, in an excellent state of conservation, is part of the Cultural Heritage of Humanity, since 1982.

Cuban Ambassador visits Nevis as part of program organized by Alumni Association in Cuba 

As part of the community activities carried out by the Association of Graduates in Cuba, this Saturday a group of graduates of Cuban universities met on the island of Nevis, accompanied by the Ambassador of the island, David Rivero Pérez, to deliver food aid and hygiene products to ten socially disadvantaged families.

Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On 27 February 2023, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Fernández de Cossío, summoned the United States Chargé D’Affaires, Benjamin Ziff, to the Ministry, to formally convey Cuba’s vigorous protest at the granting of political asylum to the Cuban citizen Rubén Martínez Machado, perpetrator of the hijacking of a Cuban civil aircraft on 21 October 2022. 

Biden Administration puts Cuba back on list of state sponsors of terrorism

The Biden administration released the Country Reports on Terrorism and continues Cuba's designation as a “state sponsor of terrorism”.  The real purpose of slandering Cuba as a “terrorist” is to justify the illegal US blockade on Cuba. 

With Cuba’s SSOT designation, the US. attempts to criminalize normalizing relations with Cuba, exacerbating the already devastating impacts of sanctions.
