Ambassador of Cuba attends the Peace Prize award ceremony

The Ambassador of Cuba in the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, attended on Wednesday 14th of February the Peace Prize award ceremony organized by the Cyprus Peace Council and which took place at the Conference Hall of the Primary Teachers’ Union premises.

This year the Cuban people are celebrating 65 years since the victory of their revolution on 1 January 1959.

65 years of struggles against US provocations and attempts to overthrow the revolution. Despite the illegal and inhuman US economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba, which has caused enormous difficulties in the daily life of the Cuban people, Cuba has kept the human being at the center and has had successes in the fields of Health, Education, Science and Sport. At the same time, Cuba is an endless source of inspiration and solidarity for all the struggling peoples of the world, including the Cypriot people.

The Cuban Ambassador held a meeting with the Citizens' Commissioner

The Ambassador of Cuba to the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, held a meeting with the Commissioner of Citizens, Mr. Panayiotis Palates at the Commissioner's headquarters.

The Ambassador congratulated Mr. Palates on his appointment as Citizens' Commissioner and exchanged on the historical ties and solidarity between the two countries over the years.
