Cuban Ambassador receives courtesy visit of the new Austrian Ambassador to Cyprus
Ambassador Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero received in courtesy visit H.E. Mrs. Susanne Bachfischer, Ambassador of Austria to the Republic of Cyprus, on February 6, 2024.
During the fraternal meeting the two diplomats exchanged on the bilateral relations that unite the two countries, as well as internal issues of the country and the serious consequences of the unjust embargo imposed by the United States on Cuba.

The Cuban Ambassador to the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero held last February 1st a fraternal meeting with Dr. Simos Ioannou, Mayor of Famagusta, at his office in Limassol.
65th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution celebrated in Kiti
On the evening of 30 January 2024, an event to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution was held at the People's Organisations Club of Kiti. The event, organised by the Progressive Party of the Working People of Cyprus (AKEL) of Kiti and the Cyprus Cuba Friendship Association, was attended by several friends from the region of Kiti, Dromolaxia, Perbolia and neighbouring areas.
Fragments of the documentary "Ode to the Revolution", by the Cuban documentary maker Roberto Chile, started an evening full of emotions and solidarity.

The Cuban Revolution celebrated 65 years of life a few days ago. Despite the adversities and the negative balance of power at the international level, despite the flagrant violation of UN resolutions and the inhuman blockade applied by the United States for 64 years, the Revolution insists on standing, enduring and evolving. It perseveres because it inspires every people struggling for dignity, freedom and independence.
Cubans, Latin Americans and Cypriots pay tribute to José Martí in Nicosia on the 171st anniversary of his birth.
On the morning of 27 January 2024, several Cuban residents, Latin American friends and Cypriots gathered at the José Martí Monument on Stasinou Avenue in Nicosia to pay homage to Cuba's National Hero on the 171st anniversary of his birth.
During the meeting, organised by the Association of Friendship
