Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: The Covid-19 pandemic evinces the need to cooperate despite political differences
The impact of COVID19 can already be measured and will be assessed in the future by the striking numbers of people infected, the unacceptable numbers of deaths, the unquestionable damages to the world economy, production, trade, employment and personal income of millions of people. It is a crisis that goes well beyond the scope of health.
ICAP message to the World Movement of Solidarity with Cuba in the time of Covid19 #BlockadeNoSolidarityYes
Havana, 9 April, 2020
To the World Movement of Solidarity with Cuba.
Dear friends,
With deep humanistic conviction, the government and people of Cuba offer the world, once again, the example of militant Solidarity at a time when the planet is facing the global pandemic of the new Coronavirus Sars Cov-2, Covid-19, which has already claimed the lives of more than 70 thousand people in the world in a very short time.
Cuba shows the way of solidarity and cooperation
Cuba shows the way of solidarity and cooperation
The pandemic that has hit the entire planet has set enormous challenges and dilemmas before the international community - organizations, states, governments and peoples. At a time when national entrenchment, the lack of solidarity in the EU and even between states within the US, the depreciation of health systems, the lack of care for the weak is predominant, Cuba is responding with greater solidarity, volunteerism and international cooperation.
