Cuban Foreign Ministry: State Department Human Rights Report is Arbitrary and Unilateral
Cuba's Foreign Ministry reiterated on Monday its rejection of false allegations on the island included on the recently issued U.S. State Department's 2020 Human Rights report.
A press release on the Ministry's website states that the Director-General in charge of the United States at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Fernández de Cossío, convened the U.S. Chargé d'Affaires, Timothy Zúñiga-Brown, to whom he conveyed his rejection of the misleading and politicized allegations made about Cuba in the report.
Washington Post: Against the odds, Cuba could become a coronavirus vaccine powerhouse
The Washington Post recalled on Monday how the efforts led by Cuban leader Fidel Castro to develop biotechnology on the island in the early 1980s, 40 years later, have placed Cuba before the possibility of becoming the world's smallest country to develop not just one, but multiple coronavirus vaccines.
In an article, the Post says five vaccine candidates are in development, two in late-stage trials with the goal of a broader rollout by May.

Cubaminrex, This Friday, 26 February 2021, the Third Round of the Dialogue on Human Rights between Cuba and the European Union was entered into in the framework of the Agreement on Political Dialogue and Cooperation between the Caribbean country and the European bloc. The respective delegations were chaired by Mr. Eamon Gilmore, special representative of the European Union for Human Rights, and María del Carmen Herrera Caseiro, Acting Director-General for Multilateral Affairs and International Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba.

The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the grave problems and colossal challenges human kind was already faced with and exposed new threats, including the frailty of health care systems. The promotion, protection and respect of the right to health are particularly relevant in the current context.

International peace and security are being threatened by conflicts; predatory and non-conventional wars; acts of aggression and regime change attempts; and an arms race that is dilapidating enormous resources that are indispensable for the sustainable development of our peoples.
