Videoconference between Cuban health institutions and the UNRWA

The Ambassador of Cuba in Egypt, Tania Aguiar Fernández, participated in a videoconference, organized among the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), the Central Unit for Medical Cooperation (UCCM) and the United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees in the East Próximo (UNRWA), with the aim of exchanging experiences acquired in the fight against COVID-19.

On the Cuban side, health professionals from the “Pedro Kourí” Institute of Tropical Medicine, the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, the UCCM and the Immunassay Center participated.

Ambassador of Cuba participates in activities for International Tourism Day

The Ambassador of Cuba in Egypt, Tania Aguiar Fernández, participated, invited by the Minister of Antiquities and Tourism and accompanied by several accredited ambassadors in this country, in the celebrations for International Tourism Day.

These activities included a tour of tourist facilities to observe the health and preventive measures applied against COVID-19 and a cycling marathon around the area.

Interview of the Ambassador of Cuba to Radio Cairo

The Ambassador of Cuba in Egypt, Tania Aguiar Fernández, offered a radio interview to the space "His Excellency the Ambassador", of the program "The voice of the Arabs" of Radio Cairo.

This interview addressed the cultural similarities between the peoples of Egypt and Cuba, their customs and the evolution of bilateral relations.

Cuba's achievements in the fields of health and education and the prospects for cooperation between the two countries were also discussed.

At the end, the Ambassador held an informal meeting with Mohamed Nawar, president of Radio Cairo.
