Inauguration of the Hurgada Museum
Invited by the Minister of Antiquities and Tourism, the Ambassador of Cuba to Egypt Tania Aguiar Fernández took part in the inauguration of the Hurgada Museum, a city located on the shores of the Red Sea.
The museum was inaugurated by the Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, and also featured a dozen accredited ambassadors in Cairo.
The museum is a building spanning 3.000 square meters to display a collection of 1.791 objects.
Meeting with Hazim Amr, president of the Party of the Republican People of Egypt
Counsellor Dennis Casares and Third Secretary Jorge Mazón, officials of the Cuban Embassy in Egypt, held a courtesy meeting with Hazim Amr, Chairman of the Egyptian Republican People's Party at its headquarters.
At the meeting common challenges and interests were addressed and regional and international events of interest were reviewed. In addition, the need to seek ways to increase political, cultural and economic ties between the two countries was emphasized.
Meeting with Mohamed Nawar, president of Radio Cairo
The ambassador of Cuba in Egypt Tania Aguiar Fernández met with Mohamed Nawar, president of Radio Cairo, at the Egyptian Radio and Television Institute, where the headquarters of that institution is located.
During the meeting, the possibilities of expanding and strengthening cooperation in cultural fields between the two countries were exchanged.
Meeting of the Cuban community residing in Cairo
The Community of Cuban residents in Egypt held a meeting this Thursday in Cairo to share as a big family and exchange on consular issues.
The Head of Consular Affairs reiterated the announcement to the IV Conference "Nation and Emigration" that will take place in Havana next April.
In addition, the Cubans took the opportunity to clarify doubts about certain consular services and procedures, celebrate the 125th anniversary of the resumption of independence struggles on February 24, 1895 and to enjoy in the best Cuban style with the taste, music and dominoes of the Island.
