The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba informs that the Contact Point that took place in Havana after the end of the Sixth Cycle of the Round Table of Dialogues between the Government of Colombia and the National Liberation Army has concluded, which was held from January 22nd to February 6th, 2024, in the capital of Cuba.

Esteban Lazo travels to Kenya in search for cooperation and clarification

Comrade Esteban Lazo Hernández, Speaker of the National People’s Power Assembly and President of the Council of State of Cuba has travelled to the Republic of Kenya as High Level Special Envoy in order to engage in urgent procedures with the top authorities of that country, searching for cooperation and clarification, in the light of the recent news published about the possible non-confirmed death of doctors Assel Herrera Correa and Landy Rodríguez Hernández, who were kidnapped in that country on April 12, 2019.

The African Union adopts a resolution rejecting the blockade imposed by the United States against our country and requests the removal of Cuba from the unilateral list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism

Addis Ababa, 19 February 2024.  For the fifteenth consecutive time, the 37th Assembly of the African Union, composed of African Heads of State and Government, adopted a resolution condemning the continued illegal economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed on the Republic of Cuba by the United States of America. On this occasion, the African Union is also calling for the removal of Cuba from the unilateral list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.
