Ambassador of Cuba highlights the historical importance of the victory of Karramara

Addis Ababa, March 4, 2022. The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, granted an interview this morning to the Ethiopian channel ETV, in commemoration this March 5, of the 44th anniversary of the victory in the Ogaden War, a fact known in Ethiopia as the Victory of Karramara. He recalled that in the Ogaden the Ethiopian troops, with the internationalist support of the Cuban combatants, defeated the aggression against the territorial integrity of Ethiopia, promoted from Somalia.

Ambassador of Cuba presents Letters of Credence to the Chairman of the African Union Commission.

Addis Ababa. January 21, 2022.  In an official ceremony held in the impressive building, headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa, H.E. Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairman of the African Union Commission, received the Letters of Credence of Ambassador Lourdes Marrero Oro, accrediting her as Ambassador Permanent Observer of Cuba to that important multilateral organization.

Cuban Ambassador presents Letters of Credential to the Honorable President of Ethiopia.

Addis Ababa. January 5, 2022. In an official ceremony held at the Presidential Palace, Hon. Mrs. Sahle Work-Zewde, President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, received the Letters of Credence from Ambassador Jorge Fernando Lefebre Nicolás, which accredits him as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in this sister African country.

Cuban Ambassador designate to Ethiopia presents his Copies of Credentials

Addis Ababa, December 9, 2021. This morning, Cuban Ambassador designate to Ethiopia, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, presented his Copies of Credentials to the Chief of Protocol ad interim of the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Alemayehu Sewagen, at the headquarters of that governmental institution.
