The XXII Summit of Heads of State and Government of ALBA-TCP will meet in Havana

Cuba will host the XXII Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), which will take place on December 14.

The meeting will be propitious to commemorate the eighteenth anniversary of the creation of ALBA-TCP and exchange on the progress and challenges of this agreement mechanism, for the benefit of our nations.

The Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets reports on FIART 2022: Art, Utility and Trade, an event dedicated to recycling in #crafts.

As mentioned on its website, exhibitors from nine countries and more than 170 nationals will meet at the 24th edition of FIART 2022, a traditional craft circuit that will take place from December 10 to 20 at two venues: Pabexpo and the Estación Cultural de Line, from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Cuba and CARICOM, 50 years of FRIENDSHIP

Díaz-Canel in Granada: We are brothers

Shortly after noon this Wednesday – one hour more than in Havana – the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and president of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, arrived on an official visit to Grenada, coming from Barbados.

This is the first official visit made by the head of state to the Caribbean island. Upon his arrival at the Maurice Bishop International Airport, he was received by the Grenadian Prime Minister, Dickon Mitchell.

Our diplomats support the Cuban softball team.

Auckland, November 26. Ambassador Edgardo Valdés and Consul Dalila Vázquez traveled to the city of Auckland to support the Cuban softball team that is participating in the World Cup of that sport.

Overcoming the difficulties for the trip, the Cuban players are having a very good performance in the tournament, where some arrived directly from the airport to the field.

It was a very pleasant experience to meet our compatriots, support the team, and enjoy the great sporting spectacle that is the championship.

 

Presentation on Cuba and the 2030 Agenda in Parliament.

Wellington, November 22. Ambassador Edgardo Valdés participated as a speaker in an event in Parliament, sponsored by the Member of Parliament for the Labour Party Vanushi Walters, and the United Nations Association of New Zealand.

The Cuban representative and a diplomat from Japan presented the experiences of their countries on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and exchanged with the attendees about the need to reduce inequalities and increase cooperation.

Cuba wins award for Best Film at the Havana Film New York

The film "Tales of a Day More" was recognized with the award for Best Film at the Havana Film Festival in New York.

The feature film, made under the coordination of director Fernando Pérez, presents six stories about Cuban society during the pandemic and competed with 24 films for the Havana Star Award.

The jury highlighted when announcing the award that it is a graphic record that poetically portrays the bloodiest chapter in contemporary health history and how humanity tried to adapt and move forward, referring to the COVID-19 pandemic.

6th International Cooperation Conference of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS).

Havana, November 11. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, at the closing of the VI International Conference of Cooperation of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) expressed: It has been a special meeting, which has had as a priority the resumption of collective actions of cooperation and the reaffirmation of solidarity as an indispensable element to face the obstacles and challenges that not only persist but also increase in the current international scenario, with a considerable impact in our region”.
