Cuba supports South Africa's lawsuit before the International Court of Justice against Israel's genocide in Palestine
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates its deep concern about the continued escalation of violence by Israel in the illegally occupied Palestinian territories, in flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter and International Law, including numerous UN resolutions. The Ministry strongly condemns, once again, the killings of civilians, especially women, children and humanitarian workers of the United Nations system, as well as the indiscriminate bombings against the Palestinian civilian population and the destruction of homes, hospitals and civilian infrastructure.
From Latvia to Cuba with a donation full of love
Dr. Elina Ozola, a podiatrist from Latvia, arrived at the guard unit of the "Calixto García" University Hospital in the Cuban capital, with a donation of medical materials in her specialty, deliver to the directors and doctors of this prestigious medical institution. Just a few hours before embarking on her vacation trip to Cuba, Elina learned of the difficulties existing on the Island as a result of the limitations imposed by the blockade, and she felt moved to bring some type of support to her professional colleagues in the country.
The 65th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution is celebrated in Finland
The Cuban Embassy in Finland hosted a cultural evening this Saturday in commemoration of the 65th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, accompanied by Latin American and the Palestine ambassadors, leaders of political forces, members of the Cuban community and the Finland-Cuba Association, among other friends of the Island in this Nordic nation. In her welcoming words, Ambassador Beatriz Parra González expressed the solidarity support received by Cuba from Finland and dedicated a few words of gratitude to the Finland-Cuba Association that recently made the "60th Anniversary" trip to Cuba, at which time they carried out work solidarity in medical institutions and brought a medical donation to the Pediatric Cancer Hospital in Havana, as part of their tour of the Island.
Ambassador receives manager of the Finnish company Bokira Group
In this final days of the year, Cuban Ambassador, Beatriz Parra González, received a visit from Matti Ponkala, representative of the Bokira Group companies. During the meeting both parts discussed about new plans for 2024 from this company present in Cuba. Cuban diplomat thanked Mr. Ponkala for his support to continue expanding the areas of interest of the Finnish companies in the Caribbean Island.
Cuba thanks the Communist Party of Finland for its historic support against the US blockade.
For Ambassador Beatriz Parra González it was a pleasure to receive Jiri Mantysalo, vice president of the Communist Party of Finland, this Friday at the Cuban headquarters in this Nordic capital. The Ambassador thanked the Suomen Kommunistinen Puolue (SKP) for its historical solidarity with Cuba against the United States blockade and its permanent denunciation of the damage it causes to the economy and the daily life of the Cuban people.
