The Embassy of Cuba was honored with the visit of the general director of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, H.E Mr. Mika Koskinen. The distinguished visitor shared his kind impressions about Cuban people and its culture, during the special days he spent in the Island, in his dialogue with Ambassador Beatriz Parra González. The presence of Deputy Director General, H.E. Mr. Cristiam Lindholm also represented a great joy for the Cuban Embassy in Finland. A very special encounter on the year of the 95 Anniversary of the relationships between Cuba and Finland, shared as well by the Consul of Cuba, Adalberto Ávila Parra.

This Monday, Ambassador Beatriz Parra González received H.E. Mr. Ari Maki, Ambassador designated by Finland in Cuba, attending from Mexico. During the exchange, both authorities talked about topics of interest for the bilateral agenda, in the context of the 95th Anniversary of relations between Cuba and Finland. The Cuban diplomat conveyed to her counterpart the Island's gratitude for Finland's support in its demand against the United States embargo, the worsening effects of which the country is currently facing.

The President of the Republic decreed Official Mourning following the death of the beloved President of the Republic of Namibia

Our people have learned, with deep pain, of the death of the beloved president of the Republic of Namibia, His Excellency. Mr. Dr. Hage Gotfried Geingob. Throughout his life, from his time as a tireless fighter for the independence of Namibia, to his performance as President, Prime Minister and in other high positions of the sister African nation, he demonstrated his enormous affection and friendship for Cuba. For this reason, the President of the Republic of Cuba decreed an Official Mourning, from 6:00 a.m. on February 5 to 12:00 p.m. on February 6, 2024.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba receives Copies of Style from the Ambassador of Finland

The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Elio Rodríguez Perdomo, received this Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, His Excellency. Mr. Ari Mäki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland. At the event, the diplomat presented the Copies of Style that accredit him as ambassador designated by his country, before the government of the Republic of Cuba.

Cuba ratifies to the President of Latvia's interest in strengthening bilateral ties

During the official activities carried out in the Republic of Latvia, the Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, greeted President Edgars Rinkevičs, to whom she conveyed a New Year message on behalf of the people and Government of the Republic of Cuba. In the exchange, the Cuban diplomat shared her best wishes for the people and Government of Latvia in 2024, and the intention to continue strengthening bilateral ties. Cuba also participated in the celebrations for the 103rd Anniversary of the International Recognition of Latvia as a nation and took part in meetings with other authorities of the country -to whom she thanked for supporting Cuba against the US embargo- as well as events organized in the Parliament.
