Director of Global Communication at the Finnish Foreign Ministry receives the Ambassador of Cuba
The Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, held a meeting this Tuesday with the Director of Global Communications of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, H.E. Mrs. Katja Karppinen-Njock. During the exchange, both authorities shared information on the institutional communication processes in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Cuba and Finland.
University of Helsinki pays tribute to José Martí on the 170th anniversary of his birth
A night of emotions was experienced this Wednesday from the University of Helsinki, when José Martí was revived from his patriotic greatness, during the tribute offered on the occasion of the 170th Anniversary of his birth, celebrated in the year that pass. The Embassy thanked the University of Helsinki, especially Dr. Florencia Quesada and Dr. Jussi Pakkasvirta, holders of the Chair of Latin American Studies for such heartfelt tribute to the Apostle of Cuba. Also the accompaniment of the ambassadors of Uruguay, Colombia and Mexico, the Consul of Spain and authorities of the Foreign Ministry of Finland.
The Ambassador of Finland is received at the Cuban Chamber of Commerce
The Director of International Relations of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, Susana Enríquez, received the Hon. Mr. Pertti Ikonen, Ambassador of Finland in Cuba. Both parties exchanged on trade and investment possibilities of mutual interest and the participation of Finnish companies in the International Fair of Havana-FIHAV2023. The meeting, which was attended by MINREX officials, took place in a friendly environment with interests in establishing marketing relations between the two countries.
Cuban Ambassador holds meetings with authorities from the University of Tampere
Cuban ambassador, Beatriz Parra González, appreciated the welcome received today at the University of Tampere by the team of researchers of the Finland-Cuba project, at Hervanta Campus. During her visit, Cuban diplomat had a nice metting with the Vice Rector for Research of Tampere's University, Mr. Tapio Visakorpi. Both aurhorities discussed interesting academic exchange opportunities for Cuba and Finland .
Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla receives the Ambassador of Finland in Cuba
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, received this Wednesday the Ambassador of Finland in Cuba, Pertti Ikonen, at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry in this capital. The Cuban Foreign Minister highlighted through Twitter: "I held a meeting with the Finnish ambassador, Pertti Ikonen. We exchanged on issues of common interest for the ties between the two countries. I ratified the will to advance in bilateral relations."
