The Cuban Medical Team, held their sixteenth Scientific Meeting in Banjul on 30th June 2018 at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital. The Head of Department, Basic Science UTG, Rebecca Lahera Cabrales, welcomed their collaborators and Gambian brothers and colleagues, who their share jobs with.

Director of Subsaharian Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited Gambia

The director of Sub-Saharan Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Gisela García Rivera, successfully concluded her working visit to The Gambia. The Cuban diplomat had the opportunity to confirm the good state of bilateral relations between the two countries and ratified the willingness to continue supporting the African nation in the training of human resources and medical cooperation, as well as expanding collaboration to other sectors of common interest.

Banjul, June 22, 2018.- Mr. Ebrima Garba Cham, General Secretary of the Labor Union Congress of The Gambia made a visit to the Cuban embassy in Banjul, where he was received by the ambassador, Lazaro Herrera. In addition to expressing his satisfaction at being in the Cuban headquarters, the unionist reaffirmed his admiration for the Cuban people and its main leaders, as well as the deep respect of the Gambian workers towards the Cuban workers movement.

 Director of Subsaharian Africa begins visit to The Gambia

Ambassador Gisela García Rivera, Director of Sub-Saharan Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, began a working visit to the Gambia aimed to strengthening bilateral ties.

On the first day of her stay, the Cuban diplomat held a fruitful exchange with officials of the Gambian Foreign Ministry, headed by the Permanent Secretary, Head of the Diplomatic Service, Ebrima O. Camara.

In a fraternal and friendly atmosphere, both parties reviewed bilateral ties and expressed a common interest in elevating these ties to a higher level.
