Havana, February 28, 2022.- The executive secretary of the World Peace Council (WPC), Iraklis Tsavdaridis, highlighted here on Monday Cuba's firm and tireless support for the efforts of that organization against militarization and war.

Mr. President,
Last 26 February, the Cuban Government issued a Statement on the events in Ukraine, clearly adopting a stance in favor of a solution that guarantees the security and sovereignty of all and addresses legitimate humanitarian concerns.
Cuba champions International Law and is committed to the Charter of the United Nations. Cuba will always defend peace and unambiguously oppose the use or threat of use of force against any State.

Havana, February 18, 2021.- Representatives of the accredited diplomatic corps in Cuba were briefed on Friday about the National Plan for Food Sovereignty and Nutritional Education, which seeks to increase agricultural production and substitute imports, among other objectives.
Parliament President Esteban Lazo chaired the meeting, which was also attended by ministers, the representative of the United Nations for Food and Agriculture (FAO) in Cuba, Marcelo Resende, and the FAO adviser for such issues, Frei Betto, among others.
