Kalamata, december 7th. Just when the 125th anniversary of the fall in combat in Punta Brava of Antonio Maceo, the Bronze Titan, and Panchito Gómez Toro, students and professors of the University of Kalamata and friends of Cuba in this historic Greek region met in the Central Amphitheater of the University of Kalamata to participate in the second public presentation of the book José Martí and “the Greek”
Cuba reaffirms solidarity and integration with Caricom
Havana, December 8, 2021.- Cuba reaffirmed today its commitment to solidarity and integration with the countries of the Caribbean Community (Caricom) to commemorate 49 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
On the occasion, President Miguel Díaz-Canel evoked on Twitter a thought from Cuban historical leader, Fidel Castro, who inspired the ties with the nations of the area.

The book José Martí y “the Greek”, by the counselor / consul of the Cuban Embassy in Greece José Oriol Marrero MartÍnez, was publicly presented for the first time on Saturday, November 27 in Greece, a fact that took place in the Cultural Center belonging to the City Hall of the Ionian island of Lefkada, just in the year that marks the 200th anniversary of the independence of the Hellenic nation.
