60 Years of Medical Collaboration in Guyana

The legacy of the Cuban Medical Brigades serves as a testament to the power of compassion and expertise, bridging nations, and transcending borders to make the world a healthier and safer place for all.

Cuba and Guyana sign new Medical Cooperation Agreement

Guyana, July 21, 2023. Today, the signing of a new Medical Cooperation Agreement took place at the Guyana Ministry of Health, with the presence of its Minister, Honorable Doctor Frank Anthony, the Ambassador of Cuba to Guyana, Jorge Francisco Soberón Luis who signed the Agreement, which elevates Cuba's medical cooperation with Guyana to a higher level. There were also present the Chief of the Cuban Medical Brigade to Guyana, Dr. Ineldo Ruiz Arcia, and other officials from the Ministries of Health of both countries.

CELAC high-level Minister of Agriculture meeting in Guyana

Guyana, Georgetown. 27 de junio, 2023. His Excellency President Dr Irfaan Ali said that health, education, and technology must be structural pillars used by the Community of Latin America and Caribbean States (CELAC) to build resilience and sustainability in agriculture and food security.

During the keynote address at the opening ceremony of the CELAC high-level Minister of Agriculture meeting, today, at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre (ACCC), the President spoke of the need for modernisation and integration.
