Statement by the Cuban Olympic Committee

In May 2024, the international press reported on the formation of the Refugee Olympic Team (ROT) for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, in which two Cuban athletes were unjustifiably included.

The ROT was publicly presented as a group of young athletes "uprooted by war or persecution".

From Jamaica: We will be like Maceo and Che!

Kingston, 14 June 2024. In front of the bust of the Bronze Titan in the Jamaican Heroes Park, members of the Cuban state mission in Jamaica, members of the Association of Cuban Residents (ACR) and the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, representatives of youth organisations and social movements, paid tribute to two sons of the Revolution: Antonio Maceo and Ernesto Guevara de la Serna.

State mission and Cuban residents participate in blood donation day

Kingston, 12 June, 2024. Around twenty members of the Cuban State Mission in Jamaica and Cuban residents took part in a day of blood donations as part of Blood Donor Day and as a tribute to the Bronze Titan and the Heroic Guerrillero.

The donations, delivered to the Alexander Bustamante Paediatric Hospital, will contribute to the performance of surgical operations in the Cardio-centre of this institution.
