The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has learned, with deep concern, about the judgment delivered by a judge of the Court of the District of Columbia in the United States on May 1st, 2024, who acquitted Alexander Alazo Baró of the four charges he faced as a result of the terrorist attack he had perpetrated against the Cuban Embassy to the United States during the early hours of morning of April 30, 2020, claiming the insanity of the perpetrator.
Ambassador of Cuba in Jamaica ratifies willingness to cooperate in agricultural sector
Kingston, 6 May 2024. The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica Fermín Quiñones Sánchez visited the offices of the Rural Agricultural Development Authority of Jamaica (RADA), to hold a working meeting with its new Director General Marina Young.
At the meeting, both parties exchanged on the various possibilities for bilateral cooperation and exchange in the agricultural sector, as a way to advance in achieving food security and identify areas of work with potential for the two nations.

On the occasion of May Day 2024, we pause to salute the struggle and contribution of our workers throughout the world, whose ‘brain and brawn’ are foundation on which our society’s are built and maintained. In particular, we offer a special solidarity to those whose day-to-day existence requires a constant struggle to keep their ‘heads above water,’ in enterprises that maximizes profit, while paying scant regards to the workers welfare.
