Organised by member organisations of the Cuba Solidarity Movement in Jamaica, an event was held on the afternoon of Sunday 30 March to denounce the genocidal policy of the blockade and to support the labour of Cuban health collaborators. The event, held at the Mico University College, was also attended by representatives of the resident Cuban community.

Kingston, 17 March 2025. The Cuban delegation attending the First Part of the 30th Session of the Council of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) denounced the negative impact of the tightening of the blockade, describing it as archaic and immoral.

The former Prime Minister of Jamaica and great friend of Cuba, the Most Honourable PJ Patterson, received the Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, at the headquarters of the Institute for Africa-Caribbean Advocacy at the University of the West Indies (UWI).
