63rd anniversary of the victory of Playa Girón celebrated in Jamaica
Kingston, 18 April 2024. Diplomats and collaborators of the Cuban State Mission in Jamaica, graduates in Cuba, members of political parties, the Association of Cuban Residents in Jamaica "Antonio Maceo" (ACRJ), the Solidarity Movement and youth organizations and social movements gathered at the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica to commemorate the 63rd anniversary of the victory of Playa Giron, the first defeat of Yankee imperialism in America.

It was in 1972 when, under the People’s National Party (PNP), Jamaica first established diplomatic relations with Cuba. At that time we knew that it would not be an easy road, but we were determined to stand in solidarity with our close neighbours, the people of Cuba, through thick and thin. That solidarity continues to this day, and will endure into the future.
Cuba present at the Modern Languages Day of the University of the West Indies
