Monrovia, November 23, 2022 - At the invitation of Liberian Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor and UN Women Representative Comfort Lamptey, Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera participated in a meeting between Liberian women leaders and UN Women Goodwill Ambassador for Africa and women's rights activist Jaha Dukeren, who is visiting Liberia.

Monrovia, November 11, 2022 - Cuban Chief of Mission Mercedes Martinez Herrera received at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia students of the Fratelli Tutti Political School of the Vatican who are visiting Liberia.
Their interest in learning first-hand about Cuba motivated their visit to the headquarters where they had a fraternal exchange with diplomat Martinez Herrera.
During the meeting they expressed their admiration for Cuba, its achievements, its culture and its people.

Monrovia, November 4, 2022 - Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera participated, along with members of the diplomatic corps, in the ceremony marking the launch of the Dialogues on Peace, Security and Development in Liberia.
The dialogue which was organized under the auspices of Liberia's international partners, including ECOWAS and others, aims to contribute to conflict prevention and risk mitigation in the run-up to the African country's general and legislative elections to be held in October 2023.
