Malaysian Prime Minister receives Cuban ambassador

Kuala Lumpur, June 13- Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad received a courtesy call from the ambassador of Cuba, Ibete Fernández Hernández.

During the cordial meeting the parties discussed the state of bilateral relations and the possibilities to expand and strengthen them. Mahathir evoked Commander in Chief Fidel Castro and the contribution of both to forge friendly ties between our countries.

Tribute to José Martí in Malaysia on the occasion of the 123th anniversary of his death in combat

Kuala Lumpur, May 21 - With the title "Learning from the ideals of José Martí and Daisaku Ikeda for a bright and humanistic future ", the ambassador of Cuba in Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández, gave a lecture in the Soka Gakkai Malaysia auditorium (SGM) ).

In her dissertation the ambassador invited the participants to review the work of José Martí to learn and understand the importance of man in the transformation of society through dedication and commitment to just causes.

Deputy Secretary General of multilateral affairs receives Cuban Ambassador

Kuala Lumpur, April 26 - The deputy secretary general for multilateral affairs of the Malaysian ministry of foreign affairs, Dato Kennedy Jawan received the Cuban ambassador Ibete Fernandez.

During the meeting the parties welcomed the level of coordination reached by Cuba and Malaysia at multilateral forums and advocated raising the level of collaboration.

Dato Kennedy told the Cuban ambassador that Malaysia will continue to support Cuba in the fight against the blockade and conveyed congratulations to Cuban President Miguel Diaz Canel for his election.

Ratifies its support for Cuba friendship association in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, April 22 - On Saturday, April 21, the 8th Annual General Meeting of the friends of  Cuba association in Malaysia (FOCA) took place, where its members ratified their decision to continue supporting Cuba.

During the meeting, a review was made of the work carried out in 2017 and different initiatives were drawn up to draw up the plan of activities for the current year. Mr. Fahmy Khai was re-elected as president of FOCA, for the third consecutive year.
