7th International Conference on Love and Tolerance

Abuja, February 15, 2024.-The Cuban ambassador to Nigeria, Miriam Morales Palmero, participated this afternoon in the 7th Conference on Love and Tolerance, an event in which panelists from different latitudes of the planet participated.

During the event, the main conflicts that currently undermine peace at the international level and the need to work together to reach an end to them were addressed. Likewise, the main challenges facing today's society in matters of human rights, quality of life, poverty, natural resources and climate change were addressed.

Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the State of Osun present in the Cuban house.

Abuja, February 15, 2024.- The Cuban ambassador Miriam Morales Palmero received the representative of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of the State of Osun for South America, Mr. Karele Oodua, at the headquarters of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

During the exchange, they highlighted the existing ties between Cuba and Nigeria, especially those related to the Yoruba religion and the impact on Cuban society.

Meeting with Minister of Culture

Abuja, February 14, 2024.- The Ambassador of Cuba in Nigeria Miriam Morales Palmero was received by the Minister of Art, Culture and Creative Economy Mrs. Hannatu Musawa.

Namibia Book of Condolences

Abuja, February 13, 2024.- This morning the Ambassador of Cuba in Nigeria Miriam Morales Palmero signed the book of condolences opened at the headquarters of the Namibian Embassy on the occasion of the death of the President of Namibia, Brother Hage G. Geingob.

It was a moment of sorrow and sadness in which the most heartfelt condolences were conveyed to the Namibian Ambassador on behalf of the Cuban people and government.

Visit to the Nigerian Parliament

Abuja, February 13, 2024.- The Ambassador of Cuba Miriam Morales Palmero visited the Nigerian Parliament where she held a meeting with the President of the Cuba-Nigeria Parliamentary Friendship Group, Senator Joshua Chinedu Obika.

The moment was favorable to address the action plan drawn up for the celebration on July 1 of the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Bilateral Relations between Cuba and Nigeria.
