US Military Deployment in the Caribbean Sea Threatens the Region Under Absurd Pretexts

Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Cuban Government strongly rejects the current deployment of United States military forces in the Caribbean Sea. This dangerous action represents a serious threat and an aggressive show of force against the sovereignty and self-determination of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean. Furthermore, it ignores the commitment of the 33 Member States of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States when they proclaimed the region as a Zone of Peace.

Prime Minister Manuel Marrero urges defense of socialism in Cuba

Ciego de Avila, July 26, 2025.- Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero urged increased efforts to preserve the achievements of socialism in Cuba, as he closed the commemoration of National Rebellion Day this Saturday.

During his speech at the Máximo Gómez Revolution Square in the province of Ciego de Ávila, he asserted that it is possible to promote the country's comprehensive growth, despite the hostility of the United States government.

The Bahamas commemorates National Rebellion Day and condemns the blockade.

Nassau, July 27, 2025. In commemoration of the 72nd anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks, Cuban and solidarity friends gathered to remember the historic event that fueled the Cuban people's struggle to achieve the Triumph of the Revolution on January 1, 1959. They also participated in the caravan that takes place every last Sunday of the month to denounce the genocidal blockade imposed on Cuba for more than six decades.
