Friends of Cuba in Saint Lucia celebrate the end of the year and 60’s anniversary of Cuba’s Revolutionary Diplomacy

The executive of the Humanistic Solidarity Association (Saint Lucia – Cuba), headed by its President Marlene Alexander, met yesterday at the residence of the Ambassador of Cuba to this country, on which occasion they celebrated the new year, the anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution and in particular the 60th anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba.  Ambassador Alejandro Simancas expressed his deep gratitude to all members of the Association for their intense work during this year in support of Cuba and their fundamental contribution to the strengthening of friendship and solidarity between the peoples of both countries. He also recalled the commemoration of the sixtieth anniversary of Cuba’s Revolutionary Diplomacy, which was celebrated in tribute in Havana with the presence of the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel. Representing the friends of Saint Lucia, Marlene Alexander, recounted the hard work accomplished during the year and highlighted the commitment to continue working together in strengthening the Association and in its purpose to be the best exponents of the value of the friendship that unites us.

Cubans in Saint Lucia reaffirm their commitment to the homeland

A representation of Cubans living in Santa Lucia came together last Saturday at the Cuban Embassy in this country, to commemorate a new anniversary of the Cuban Revolution and to celebrate the end of the year. After singing the notes of our national anthem, Ambassador Alejandro Simancas reported on the convening of the IV Conference "The Nation and Emigration" to be held from 8th to 10th April, 2020 and stressed that under the ideal of José Marti of "With all and for the good of all", the participation of all Cubans to preserve the Homeland continues to be relevant.

Bahamian Ministry of Foreign Affairs congratulates the Cuban people and government on the date of January 1st.

Nassau, December 30th, 2019. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas sent congratulation to the Cuban Embassy in this capital on the occasion of celebrating a new anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.

In its communication, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expressed the commitment of its government to work together with its Cuban counterpart to deepen relations between the two countries and strive for a more prosperous and secure future.

The Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves, participated yesterday afternoon in a fraternal meeting with Cuban collaborators that served as a propitious moment to celebrate the advent of the year 2020 and the 61st Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.

The Cubans living in Trinidad and Tobago celebrate with the Cuban Embassy the triumph of the Revolution and the advent of the New Year

Port of Spain, December 28th, 2019. The Cuban community in Trinidad and Tobago celebrated with the Cuban Embassy the Triumph of the Revolution and the advent of the New Year. The occasion was propitious to officially present the new head of Consular Affairs, Patricia Pita Calderón.

The main words were given by the Cuban Ambassador, Tania Diego Olite, who congratulated everyone present and highlighted the courage shown by the Cuban people during 2019 in light of the intensified measures of the US blockade against Cuba.

Highlight the significance of the 60 years of diplomatic relations between both countries

Cuban Ambassador Pedro Luis Despaigne González, the First Secretary of the Embassy, ​​Julio César Sánchez, and Mr. Kwasi Owusu-Achaw, a Ghanaian optometrist and journalist graduated in Cuba, appeared before the live television program, Breakfast Show, in which they addressed different facets linked to the 60th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
