Athens, 11 September: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) Dimitris Koutsoumpas, received at his headquarters the ambassador of Cuba to Greece Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina. The Greek communist leader was accompanied by Giorgios Marinus, member of the KKE political bureau in charge of international relations and Aris Evangelidis, Latin America's head in KKE's international relations department.

The Cuban Ambassador to Austria, Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios and the staff of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in this country, held an emotional meeting with the delegation of "ÖKG", the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association which visited Cuba last April and May aiming at celebrating the 50th anniversary of the organization.

Orlando Requeijo, Cuban Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has paid a working visit to the Saudi Export Program (SEP) headquarters, one of the branches of the Saudi Development Fund, in Riyadh. He was welcomed by the new SEP Director-General, Mr. Abdulmohsen bin Abdulrahman Al Khayal.

United Nations, Sep 10 (Prensa Latina) The United States blockade against Cuba is the most unjust, severe and prolonged system of unilateral sanctions applied against any country, denounced the Cuban Mission to the United Nations this Tuesday.

In a statement, the Cuban diplomatic mission stressed that the blockade is the main obstacle to the development of the Caribbean country, as well as to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals.

Havana, Sep 10 (Prensa Latina) After a long working day in Havana to look into expanding cooperation, the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, was welcomed by Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

The two high-ranking dignitaries discussed late on Monday the completion of the 2nd Cuba-EU Joint Council and the implementation of the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement.

Cuba and Norway reiterate their willingness to continue supporting talks to establish a lasting peace in Colombia
