Juba, September 10, 2019. The President of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E. Mr. Salva Kiir Mayardit received at the Presidential Palace, the Letters of Credence that accredited H.E. Mrs. Vilma Thomas as Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to South Sudan.
Both parties exchanged on the friendly relations existing between both countries even previous to the establishment of the new Republic of South Sudan in 2011.

Pretoria, September 13, 2019.- Vice-president of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba Inés María Chapman Waugh, in her trip to Zimbabwe at the head of the Cuban delegation to the funeral of Robert Mugabe, exchanged salutations with South Africa’s former President Thabo Mbeki.
Thabo Mbeki, who held the South African presidency from 1999 to 2008, also traveled to Zimbabwe to take part in the funerals of former President Mugabe.

Quito, Sep 13 (Prensa Latina) The Communications Forum for the Integration of Our America (FCINA) today described the suspension of accounts in Cuba by private social network Twitter as a case of restriction of freedom of expression.
In a communiqué, the organization noted that on Wednesday, dozens of Twitter accounts belonging to Cuban institutions, media and intellectuals were suspended.
