Working visit of the Director of North Africa and the Middle East of the Cuban Foreign Ministry to Iran.

Tehran, September 17, 2019. Ambassador Héctor Igarza Cabrera, Director of North and Middle East Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, made a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, which included an intense and tight agenda of on September 15 and 16 in Tehran. Accompanied by the Cuban Ambassador to Iran, Alexis Bandrich Vega, the director Igarza Cabrera was received by S.E. Director of North Africa and the Middle East of the Cuban Foreign Ministry is received in the Parliament of Iran

Tehran, September 17, 2019. During the recent work visit to Iran of the Director of North and Middle East Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Ambassador Héctor Igarza Cabrera was received by Mr. Hossein Amirabdolahhian, Special Adviser to the President of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran and Director of International Affairs who had complimentary words for our people and government as well as ratified the will of Iranian parliamentarians to expand and deepen ties and cooperation in this important area.

Cubans react with solidarity and determination, supporting government measures to mitigate impact of U.S. hostility

Granma, September 13, 2019. Yesterday, during another appearance on Cuban television, President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez thanked the Cuban people for their support of government measures, contributions, and solidarity amidst the country’s tense energy situation.

The U.S. blockade against Cuba has a negative impact on third countries.

New York, 16 September 2019. Annually, Cuba prepares a report on the effects of the criminal and genocidal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the U.S. government against the island. The report for the period between April 2018 and March 2019 shows how relations between the two nations have been marked by the hostile policy promoted from Washington against Havana and by an increase in sanctions in the banking-financial sector, affecting Cuban entities and third parties, in clear violation of international law.

To mention just one example, between June 2018 and April 2019, the U.S. government imposed nine sanctions on third country companies or banks, including those in the U.S. The total amount of these penalties amounted to 3,751,449,017 dollars.

The Anti-imperialist Meeting of Solidarity, for Democracy and against Neoliberalism will take place in Havana from November 1 to 3 of this year, organized by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), Central Organization of Cuban Trade Unions (CTC), along with the Cuban Chapter of Social Movements and the Continental Conference for Democracy and against Neoliberalism.

Cuba present in the Open Doors Day of the Ministry Foreign Affairs of Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, September 17, 2019.- The Foreign Minister of Mongolia, Mr. D. Tsogtbaatar, visited the stand of Cuba, during the Open Day of the Minister of Foreign Affairs where he greeted the Ambassador of Cuba, Raul Delgado Concepción and the President of Prensa Latina news agency, Luis Enrique González who is in Mongolia on a work visit.
