Cuba Presents New Report on Impact of USA Blockade

The US blockade on Cuba was drastically reinforced from April 2018 to March this year, according to the annual report on the effects on the US decades-old measure against Cuba.

Meeting of Cubans residents in Canada

Ottawa, September 21, 2019.- On Saturday afternoon, Cubans residing in Ottawa, Gatineau and Montreal, celebrated for the second consecutive year the Cuban holiday at the Cuban residence in Canada.

This event was favourable to dialogue on diverse topics of interest for the Cuban residents and to exchange with the members of the associations "Cubans Residing in Ottawa-Gatineau", "We are Cuba", "Cuban Community in Canada" and their relatives.

The Cuban ambassador to Canada, Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, thanked everyone for their presence and exchanged with the attendees about the permanent process of analysis and updating of migration policy and the strengthening of the ties of Cubans residents abroad with their nation.

 

Cuba presents report on impact of U.S. blockade this past year

Cuba’s Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, offers a press conference September 20 to present the country’s report to the General Assembly outlining the full impact of the U.S. blockade over this last year. The resolution entitled “The need to end the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba” will be presented for the 28th time to the United Nations General Assembly, where the international community has repeatedly expressed its support for the island and condemnation of the hostile U.S. policy.
