Message of Solidarity from His Excellency, Mr John Agyekum Kufuor, Former President Of The Republic Of Ghana

Your Excellencies and my dear friends.

On the accession of the sixth African Continental Conference on Solidarity with Cuba which is taking place in Abuja, the capital of the brotherly country of Nigeria, I wish to extend my personal solidarity with the Government and people of Cuba.

Cuba has a universal health system, reaffirms the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba at the United Nations.

New York, 23 September 2019. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, who is in New York City, heading the Cuban delegation to the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly, participated today in the Plenary Session of the High-Level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage, held within the framework of this momentous event.

Ghana to participate at the 6th Africa solidarity meeting

The official delegation of the Cuba Solidarity Movement in Ghana will be leaving Accra on Sunday, 22nd September, 2019 to the capital of Abuja to participate at the 6th Africa Solidarity Meeting to be held in Abuja, Nigeria from the 23rd -25th September, 2019 with calls for the removal of the US Economic Blockade and sanctions against the Republic of Cuba.

Declaration of the19th ALBA-TCP Political Council. New York, September, 23, 2019.

The Foreign Affairs Ministers of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas - Peoples’ Treaty of Commerce (ALBA-TCP), assembled at its 19th Political Council, in the context of the 74th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization (UN), hereby convey the following agreements:

They deplored the expulsion of two diplomats from the sisterly Republic of Cuba to the UN by the authorities of the State Department of the United States of America (USA) on September 19, 2019.

Mr. President,

First and foremost, I would like to thank you and the Director-General of WHO for holding this meeting, the relevance of which is shown by the fact that almost half of the world's population does not have access to basic health care services.

The Helms-Burton Act aims to suffocate the Cuban economy

New York, 23 September 2019. The main example of the implementation and tightening of the U.S. blockade against Cuba has been the decision of the U.S. Department of State, dated 17 April 2019, to permit the lawsuits conceived by Title III of the Helms-Burton Act, which came into force in 1996, also known  as the Cuban Liberty and Democratic Solidarity (LIBERTAD) Act. All this despite the opposition from members of Congress -including Republican members-, the business sector, different organizations, and U.S.

Cuba Presents New Report on Impact of USA Blockade
